Were Back
Sorry for the blogging hiatus. I will attempt to catch up but it will be out of order and in spurts as I did not manage to get all the pictures to the same place at the same time.
So as not to be a complete waste of a post here are some points on pizza in Finland.

So as not to be a complete waste of a post here are some points on pizza in Finland.
- There are lots of pizza places. Most deliver if you want. Finnish restaurant pizza seems similar to Pappa Murphy/Pizza Hut crust with a more diverse set of ingredients and different style of cheese.
- I have been making a lot of pizza.
- Fresh mozzarella is $3 a pound.
- Tomatoes are sold mostly in boxes. Not sure why that wouldn't work in the US, seems cheaper. And your tomatoes don't taste tinny. That box below is $1 so tomatoes are about the same price as the US.
- If you did not already try it, putting pizza toppings on a tortilla, once baked, makes a pizza wrap that tastes great and is ready in 10m.
- One of the popular tortilla companies here makes an actual 'pizza tortilla' that cooks in 4m. It makes a stiffer more pizza like thin crust. But its about $2.50 for 4 tortilla sized crusts.
- As previously mentioned you buy the whole spice plant here for $1-2 instead of a cutting of Basil.
- If your following, if you use a regular 12 a pack tortilla or make your own crust you can get the price of a fresh mozzarella basil margherita pizza down to about $2. Yum.
